Largest annual European poker event

Poker In The Park, the largest annual European poker event, ran from the early afternoon of August the 13th, into the late evening of August the 14th. Festivities were capped off by the sponsor of the event, PKR. Prior to closing, the popular online gaming company hosted tournaments which featured some of Britain's top bar leagues.

Great success for Unibet

The Poker Lecture Marquee presented by Unibet was a massive success. The showcase featured a few of the most well respected players in the world, who addressed the crowd through a variety of discussions. Jamie Gold,  previous champion of the World Series Of Poker, spoke on each day of the event in addition to hosting a charity competition at Casino At The Empire opening night.

Other guest speakers included the reigning World Series Of Poker champ Peter Eastgate, who was accompanied by an assortment of British gurus including Ian Frazer, Neil Channing, Nik Persaud, Paul Jackson, John Tabatabai, Alex Rousso, and Liv Boeree.

Littlewoods Poker was busy running their tent throughout the gathering, housing an arena for players to challenge open-handed pros including Tony Cascarino, Michael Greco, Mark Goodwin, and various other experts.

Another fan favorite was the Bluff Europe Tent, which allowed participants to bump horns with one another on electronic PokerTek tables as Prime Table Games introduced them to PTG Poker.

Finally, players were visited by the Neteller, Blackbelt Poker, and various other companies in the online gaming industry in the Multi-Purpose Poker Tent. Over the course of the event, the tent proved to be a prime networking location for poker players both new and old.

If you missed this year's festivities, don't worry, event organizer Bluff Europe vowed that Poker In The Park will be back again next year. The event, which will be the 4th annual Poker In The Park, promises to be better than ever.
