More Internet Poker Consolidation

The recent trend of consolidation in internet poker has continued this week with announcements that two major poker rooms on the iPoker network (Playtech) have merged forces.

The Reasons For The Merger

The companies have not yet provided a reason for the merger. Both Fair Poker and Noble Poker have been around since 2004. Previously, Fair Poker was a property belonging to the Intercontinental Online Gaming Group.

Information On The Merger

Fair Poker and Noble Poker, both licensed by Playtech, notified their players this week that they would be merging. The merger means that Fair Poker players will have their accounts (along with their loyalty points) transfer over to Noble Poker.

A Smooth Transition Taking Place

The transfer comes with a bonus offer as an incentive to keep playing, and will allow players to keep their same log in names and passwords through the merger. The Fair Poker site has already been rebranded to reflect the merger, now boasting the Noble Poker identity.
