Brunson Embarrassed By Hellmuth's Entrance

International professional poker playing legend Doyle Brunson has expressed his embarrassment for his colleague Phil Hellmuth's record of grand entrances. Hellmuth creates these grand displays in order to draw a high level of publicity at massive events such as the WSOP.

His Latest Over The Top Entrance

In Hellmuth's latest over-the-top entrance, he arrived at the main event of Europe's WSOP in Leicester Square in a costume made to resemble a Roman emperor. Hellmuth rode in on a chariot and was encircled by dancing women.

Not The First Time

This out-there entrance was not the first time Hellmuth has attempted to steal the show. At the WSOP Vegas earlier in the year, he staged a similar stunt. Ironically, Hellmuth was eliminated before the final table at both events.

Brunson's Opinion On The Matter

Brunson states that Hellmuth came to his table dressed to resemble Julius Caesar, and was accompanied by an entourage of lightly dressed women along with blaring trumpets. Brunson joked that he would have liked to have taken up the role of Brutus. Brunson believes that such irrelevant stunts detract from the meaning of the game.
