APPT Philippines Won By A Korean

The Pokerstars APPT (Asian Pacific Poker Tour) event that took place in Cebu in the Philippines brought in over 300 participants over the course of the weekend. This makes the event the largest poker tournament ever held in the country. The event was the 3rd APPT visit to the country. Previous APPT events took place in Manila.
The Winner Of APPT Philippines
Korean player Dong-bin cashed out with the large cash reward of 158 thousand dollars. This win came after a highly intensive heads up with David Hilton of the United States. Another Korean player, Sim Somyung, finished out the event in third place.
Defending Champion Nam Le
Nam Le is the defending champion on the APPT Macau event. Hailing from the United States, Le cashed out in 12th place before elimination.
The Locals Did Not Fare Well
Only Mark Pagsuyuin was the only Filipino player that did well in the tournament. Pagsuyuin finished out the tournament in sixth place after competing in the final table.
The Next Stop Of The Tour
The next stop for APPT is Australia. The event is expected to have a good turnout, taking place in Sydney on the 1st of December. Qualifiers for the event are currently taking place of the Pokerstars site.
