Te Horizon Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, Mississippi, located on a riverboat at the City Front, has reduced its activities and decreased its workforce.

The Riverboat Casino has closed all table games, such as craps and blackjack, as it also shut down two floors, according to the Vicksburg Post. Tropicana Entertainment, owner of Horizon Casino, wasn’t available for comment but referred to Paul Winfield, Vicksburg’s current mayor, whose office commented that the casino had affirmed the dismissal of 20 to 100 employees.

Tropicana Entertainment owns properties in Atlantic City and Las Vegas and is also the owner of Lighthouse Casino in Greenville, Mississippi. The Vicksburg casino was opened in 1993 as the first casino-hotel in the state of Mississippi, named Harrah’s, and it was the second casino in Vicksburg. There are four other casinos in Vicksburg .
