John Davy, the director of the online gambling group known as PartyGaming plc, has just announced his resignation for personal reasons. Davy will remain the director of the online gambling group until a successor to his post has been chosen. The effective date of his resignation is then yet to be announced as of now. It was in December 2007 when Davy became part of the Party Gaming group, after creating and building a long line of successful businesses for more than 25 years. His experience in the industry marked him as the co-owner and the developer of the Jongleurs Comedy Clubs before he sold his UK franchise back in August 2000. Davy is still the non-executive Chairman of Jongleurs Comedy Ltd., which is actually a leisure enterprise. His interests are quite expansive, including that of corporate hospitality and television. Davy is also the chairman of Lombard Asset Management Ltd. and Mentor Inns LLP.
